Guenoc was born in 1888 out of a vision to craft the finest wines in America in a place that was largely undiscovered, yet rich with an incredible landscape called the Guenoc Valley. Guenoc wines are inspired by this sense of place and guided by our independent spirit. With each vintage, we endeavor to create premium crafted wines of pure varietal character, made our way in the far reaches of the west.
Distinctly California, our wines highlight the fruit from our favorite vineyards in the Golden State. Our California Merlot has pleasant aromas of red raspberry, Bing cherry and dried herbs. The medium to full bodied wine has lingering flavors of chocolate, black fruit and bold tart raspberries. The finish is dry, yet filled with fresh fruits. Pair this wonderful Merlot with barbecued baby back ribs in a merlot barbecue sauce, corn on the cob and sweet coleslaw.
